Children in Need officially launched February 16, 2007 when we held our Dinner dance fundraiser at the Sons Of Italy
Hall in downtown Hamilton. Our purpose then was to increase awareness about our organization and I believed we did. We made
a modest profit which will go to our account to go to our projects.
In this event we declared who we were, what we stood for and what we wanted to do. We also made mention of our intention
to introduce spirituality in our organization by offering free prayer blankets. Donation to this program will go towards purchase
of materials. Request for blankets needs to be processed through Don Watson. Fe Barrientos will be chairperson for the Prayer
Blanket Committee.
